Wired Cafe Fit is clever, we’ll admit. This new sports club and cafe blurs the lines between public and private space, and outdoor and indoor exercise. Tucked in between Shibuya Boxx and the overhanging curve of Yoyogi National Stadium, the facilities are just a few minutes from Yoyogi Park, and aimed squarely at the keep-fit enthusiasts who flock to one of Tokyo’s largest green spaces.

Yoga classes are held in an onsite studio, while running and walking classes take place in the park. Monthly fitness program members have unlimited access to the classes and facilities, which include locker and shower rooms. Full membership is ¥9,800/month (plus a ¥2,000 joining fee), with discounts available if you opt for weekday- or weekend-only use. Rather just run on your own? Wired Fit also offers shower and locker room passes (¥2,000/month or ¥500 per single use). You can also purchase lesson tickets, rent yoga mats and store bicycles.

The stylish facilities have a tree-house-meets-Ikea vibe, with blond wood, catchy graphics and colorful shower curtains. Potted plants dangle from the ceiling of the yoga studio, which has glossy hardwood floors. The adjoining cafe—now one of the closest to Yoyogi Park—serves up hearty soups, veggie breads, smoothies and herb teas—and no, you don’t need to be a member to eat there. Takeout is available too.
