Artists usually choose names with letters and numbers because they have some significance. Think U2. In Dutch dubstep producer Dave Huismans’ telling, 2562 is simply his home area code in The Hague. But for a number of electronic music heads, 2562 also stands for a tasteful blend of dubstep’s subterranean beats with roots Detroit techno. The DJ/producer first came to prominence with 2008’s Aerial, and drops into Tokyo to helm a night of live sounds at Air preceded by a weeknight evening DJ set at tiny webstreaming outlet/club Dommune.
