Each summer, the Sony Building in Ginza becomes an aquatic playground for 1,000 fish, including such exotic creatures as sea turtles and white-tip reef sharks. At this year’s 43rd Sony Aquarium, the eighth floor Opus theater will be screening footage—in 3D—that allows audiences “to enjoy the experience of going underwater and swimming with giant sharks and manta rays.” The showrooms on the lower floors have been given over to displays of Okinawa’s lush natural environment, with Bravia TVs airing 3D footage of local wonders. The showcase is free and runs through August 31.
