When American songwriter Devendra Banhart [pictured] isn’t penning psych-folk freakouts under his own name, he can be found making music in a lighter vein with Andy Cabic in a band called Vetiver. For their Japan visit however, Banhart and Cabic will be making their first-ever tour as a duo at the invitation of specialty music label Windbell. Already on his fourth junket, Banhart follows in a long line of indie hipsters like Vincent Gallo who have become style icons in Japan. Cabic is less familiar here, but this series of intimate shows will provide plenty of chances to get to know him.
