Singer-actress Anna Tsuchiya, 27, performed at Full moon ~ Love Is…, a monthly candle event at act*square restaurant in Ebisu, last week. Tsuchiya sang 10 songs, including a cover of Eric Clapton’s “Tears in Heaven,” and the Carpenters’ “Yesterday Once More.” Full moon ~ Love Is… is a free event which takes place every month when there is a full moon and guests are surrounded by 5,000 candles. Referring to the earthquake and tsunami on March 11, which was also her birthday, Tsuchiya said: “When so many people are suffering in Japan and in many other countries too, an event like this gives us an opportunity to share a special moment with our loved ones.” The singer, whose mother is Japanese and father Polish-American, made her debut as a fashion model in 1998 and has since built a career in acting, singing and movie directing. She is also a mother of two.
