Life is getting ever more bite-sized, thanks to Twitter’s noble precedent. Now, Choi Repi allows you to bite on Japanese cuisine tips in 140-character chunks. “Choi” comes from short time, and “repi” from recipe, meaning you’re essentially getting a user-generated cookbook for the smartphone generation. Those worried about their Japanese could view it as a language-learning tool, with the concise format leading to more digestible information—and more digestible dishes, too. Save your faves, search by ingredient or food style, etc, comment (oishikatta desu for starters)—and submit your own if you feel up to it. Non-phoners can follow via Twitter. Free. Available from iTunes App Store or http://choirepi.jp.
