Why trudge wearily around the Sky Tree, arguing with your exhausted companions and slurping bad coffee from a can you bought in a vending machine? There exists another option. The snappily-named Booster Café + Rent a Bicycle by Scott (1F Sky Tree Town Tower Yard, 1-1-2 Oshiage, Sumida-ku; www.boostercafe.net) allows you to grab a coffee or lunch, rent a bike, and cycle around Tokyo’s gigantic new erection. Specialties include a tasty panini set (¥980), or café drink set (¥850). The bike rental clocks in at a reasonable ¥2,000 for four hours, with a ¥2,000 returnable deposit.
