Scary documentary analyzes the science and politics of how we use, misuse and pollute our meager supply of fresh water, and paints a dire picture of where we’re going with it. Small-scale water wars have already begun, and the film says a complete overhaul of the water distribution system must take place if we are to avoid major ones in the not-too-distant future. It examines such upsetting ideas as the corporate theft of the world’s water supplies (which has already happened), aquifer depletion, desertification and the evil Perrier. Winds up with some savvy solutions and new technologies.
