The grizzled granddad of folk-rock arrives for what is being billed as his first and last “live house” tour. While the 2,700-capacity Zepp Tokyo is far larger than your typical claustrophobic basement venue, it’s still a sight smaller than the arenas Dylan was booked into for his last 2001 Japan tour. Reportedly the idea was Dylan’s own, and he isn’t stinting Japan. The 68-year-old, who recently blew minds by releasing a Christmas album, will be playing 12 dates over two and a half weeks in the country. With tickets starting at ¥12,000, though, the opportunity to get up close and personal with the former Mr. Zimmerman doesn’t come cheap.
