Cereal was never this much fun when we were younger. Never mind the infinite varieties of Marshmallow Mega-Charm Puffs out there—just check out the dishes kids get to eat them from. The Spilt Milk Bowl looks like an accident, but is designed in such a way as to withstand one itself: its flexible silicone material is, according to the designers, “practically indestructible.” While the sprogs go nuts over that one, keep the cat happy with Alessi’s “Tigrito” bowl, a feline-friendly follow-up to the company’s “Lupita” dog dish. It’s a sturdy piece of work itself, being fashioned from stainless steel with a tough plastic base.
Spilt Milk Bowl, ¥1,470; “Tigrito” Cat Bowl, ¥12,600. Available from Moma Design Store: 3F Gyre, 5-10-1 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku. Tel: 03-5468-5801. Open daily 11am-8pm (closed on Gyre hols). Nearest stn: Meiji-Jingumae. www.momastore.jp
