Cirque du Soleil might have folded up its Zed tent and left town—but some of its performers have put down roots in Tokyo. Themed on the four elements, Breathing Light features a cast that combines former Cirque du Soleil performers and musicians with world-class tango and pole dance artists, a champion yo-yo performer and an African dancer. They will do their thing under the direction of versatile American percussionist Christopher Hardy—himself a Zed veteran—who will direct an ensemble populated by harpists, pianists and violinists.
