Big hair, brassy tunes and cross-dressing from Down Under are on the cards when Melbourne’s Clairy Browne & The Bangin’ Rackettes go head to head with Japanese funk combine Mountain Mocha Kilimanjaro. The Bangin’ Rackettes and their large-lunged leading lady are a nine-piece powerhouse with a love for Amy Winehouse-style retro soul and rhythm & blues that oozes from their debut album Baby Caught The Bus. They make their Japan debut in a night that pits them against Japan’s sharpest-dressed funk lads and festival faves.
