As dreams of a paperless office come closer to fruition, old-school desk accessories are increasingly turning into fetish objects. This must be one of the most scrumptious we’ve come across to date: a gleaming bird statue sculpted from chrome-plated zamak (yeah, we just had to Google that one too), which serves the prosaic function of keeping your paperclips in order. The work of Colombia-born, Milan-based designer Rodrigo Torres, it’s also heavy enough to use as a paperweight.
