It’s an admirable thing in this age of megabuck blockbusters to be able to make a movie on a shoestring budget (this one was supposedly made for £45). Basically it’s a few days in the life of the freshly minted title zombie, as he shambles around London looking for people to eat. But low-budget moviemaking is admirable only if the result is watchable. Unsurprisingly, there’s little dialogue; unfortunately, there’s little else, either, and its few attempts at coherence are sabotaged by jerky, handheld camera techniques, crappy acting and a complete lack of direction. This one looks like it cost £45.
