In the battle against toilet odors, Poo-pourri will leave you flush with success

Here’s something to be really thankful for this Thanksgiving: American toilet deodorizers Poo-pourri are now available in Japan. The company claims they are clinically proven and that unlike aerosol sprays that simply mask odors after the fact, the sprays are designed to be used “before you go.” Spraying the bowl first creates a film on the water’s surface, trapping odors in, and the release of any, erm, flotsam and jetsam releases scents including lemongrass and citrus. The hilariously named lineup ranges from the organic Nature’s Call to the stronger Heavy Doody (both ¥987 for 59ml). There is even Little Stinker (¥1,680 for 118ml) for babies. Pop one in your loo, or hide it in your bag to prevent embarrassment during a visit to your in-laws’ house.

Available at http://www.entresquare.com/onlineshop and at Entre Square (3-11-7 Kita-Aoyama, Minato-ku.)

Metropolis has three spray bottles to give away. To apply, e-mail giveaways@metropolis.co.jp with the name of the British plumber who increased the popularity of flush toilets.
