Get your wa on when famed taiko drum troupe Kodo continues its collaboration with kabuki director Tamasaburo Bando in a series of concerts in Setagaya. Beginning with their 2003 “One Earth Tour Special” and continuing through 2006’s “Amaterasu,” Bando has injected a dose of high theater into Kodo’s performances. For the upcoming “Dadan,” he’s selected seven of the group’s drummers “in the pursuit of pushing the extremes of youthful power, concentration and dynamic physical force.”
