While sushi is the quintessential Japanese dining experience, the often tiny restaurants it’s served in are not always conducive to a party-like atmosphere. So if you can’t get to the restaurant, bring the restaurant to you with Itamae Sushi’s delivery service. Any joint can send a bento to your address on a scooter, but Itamae is more of a catering service complete with sushi chef for your office or home party. The basic course (¥2,500 per person) is semi-omakase, with four cuts selected by the chef and the other four chosen by the diner. The luxury course (¥10,000) includes 11 varieties and side dishes. The minimum order is ¥50,000, but if you get enough coworkers to pitch in, you can turn your next office bash into something more than chu-hi and chips.
