Members of the world-renowned Kodo drummers and flamenco company Arte Y Solera have joined forces to take on one of Japan’s most famous works of literature. A tragic love story written in the 11th century, Dojoji has long been a staple of both kabuki and noh, but this will be the first time it has been told through flamenco dance. The performance will be accompanied by traditional Japanese instruments like the taiko drum, shamisen, koto and flute, courtesy of Kodo members Shogo Yoshii, Motofumi Yamaguchi and others.
