Art Collaboration Kyoto 2023

Oct 28, 2023 at 11:00am ~ Oct 30, 2023 at 7:00pm

Held in one of the largest conference sites in Japan, the Kyoto International Conference Center, artists from all over the world come together and collaborate to show you a one-of-a-kind art exhibition: Art Collaboration Kyoto 2023.

This year’s exhibition will host 35 local artists and 29 international artists, providing a total of 64 galleries to view. This year’s exhibition revolves around the theme of occuring glitches and malfunctions. This art exhibition will test our comfort levels as it exposes and delves deeper into how human health and our planet have been in danger. These galleries will make us reflect and examine our relationships, and think creatively about power, wealth, gender and the environment. Art Collaboration Kyoto will address a range of issues we humans go through and highlight different viewpoints that question our current system.

Art Collaboration Kyoto will also include discussion programs and activities for children, making it a great opportunity for you to experience this heartfelt exhibition with your family and friends. This year’s guest curator is Greg Dvorak, a professor at Waseda University’s School of International Liberal Studies. His academic goal is to spread awareness of the Pacific Islands region in Japan through artistic and linguistic means.
