Australian Chamber Orchestra – Kioi Hall

The Australian Chamber Orchestra (ACO), established in Sydney in 1975 as Australia’s only national chamber orchestra, will make an appearance in Tokyo this October with a unique collection of pieces perfectly embodying the essence of the ACO. In this program, ACO’s Artistic Director and Concertmaster, Richard Tognetti and the ACO will bring to life Leoš Janáček’s Kreutzer Sonata and Beethoven’s Violin Sonata No. 9 in A major op. 47 “Kreutzer.” In addition, in revisiting this project, which was originally planned for the 2020 season, the ACO has added Tognetti’s arrangement of Pavel Haas’s String Quartet No. 2 “Z opičích hor (From the Monkey Mountains)” op. 7 for this special one-night-only performance.
