Paying homage to embroidery and brass, the Megumi Ogita Gallery proudly presents Tama Arts University graduate, Aya Cagiu’s solo exhibition, “Night Flight”. Aya has dedicated her artistic journey to giving embroidery a more meticulous and personalized meaning. Embroidery was passed down as a symbol of prayer, more specifically an amulet or talisman against the family, community, or an individual. With this meaning in mind, Cagiu respects this meaning and sews each embroidery on a canvas to return to the act of prayer.

This exhibition will present 24 creative pieces that include works on brass as a new challenge for presenting embroidery, which represents the softness and weakness of the fabric. Bring your friends and family to the “Night Flight” exhibition that allows you to enjoy a serene and profound world filled with archaeological romance from September 22.

Note that the gallery is closed on Mondays and Sundays, and on September 23 (Sat).
