Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance

Takes itself awfully seriously

Faithful reader, do you really need a review of a sequel to a movie about a morally conflicted hellspawn biker whose head turns into a demonic flaming skull when he’s miffed? Most of us have by now stopped counting the movies in which professional crazy person Nicolas Cage has squandered his acting talents, but fans of his rage-filled wing-nut persona will find some enjoyment here, that is until his operatically intense face disappears into flame. The film takes itself awfully seriously, and the SFX are screen-saver level (but there are lots of them). Loved the pissing like a flamethrower thing.
