Entertaining poppycock

Okay, bear with me. It’s 2079, and the President’s daughter (Maggie Grace, of Lost) has been taken hostage by some seriously off-their-meds convicts in a maximum-security facility… in space. A SWAT team is out, so only One Man can save her: a wrongfully convicted ex-government operative named Snake Plissken, sorry, Snow (look it up). Moronic, no? But here’s the thing: all this derivative, Luc Besson-conceived poppycock is actually made quite entertaining by the chameleonic (and buffed up) Guy Pearce as Snow, who is apparently an irreverent, cynical wise-ass with some excellent gag writers. Go drunk.
