Love Light

Since its launch in 2010, the “Love is…” event has filled Ebisu Garden Place and participating shops and restaurants with hundreds of candles every month on the night of a full moon, bringing lovers together for a moment of quiet reflection. Not everyone can make it over to Ebisu, however, or may not want to share precious moments out in the freezing cold of a February night. For that purpose, interior goods maker Birthday Bar has created a candy votive (¥1,470) in collaboration with notable candle makers Kameyama. Resembling a jar of heart-shaped candies, it looks good enough to eat. The candle creates a soothing strawberry aroma that fills the room. Light up, snuggle up close and enjoy the glow of a romantic night in. Or, if you’d prefer to join the event, the next one is on February 14 (http://loveis-candle.jp/).
