The acid-jazz scene may have been born in the UK 20 years ago, but man, does it have legs in Japan. Producer and fleet-fingered jazz guitarist M-Swift debuted in 2007 with Italy’s reputable Irma imprint, scoring a worldwide dancefloor hit with “Morning Light” and following it up last year with an iTunes No.1 for “Sunshine of Love.” At Shibuya’s venerable club The Room he’ll be celebrating the release of Works, a double album that packages his soundtrack for the new film Working Holiday starring Akira from Exile with a reissue of his major label debut M-Swift presents 24Carat “Blue in Black.”
