The latest in a slew of music festivals enlivening bayside Tokyo, Neutral Nation returns for a second year in Odaiba. The concert offers a “borderless, neutral” look at music, which in this case seems to mean a gaggle of hip indie Japanese bands plus one hip indie band from New York: “experimental” electronic outfit Gang Gang Dance (pictured). Local groups include the ever-popular Buffalo Daughter, explosive hip-hop/rock duo Uhnellys, turntablist extraordinaire DJ Kentaro and art-pop outfit Clammbon.
“Neutral Nation 2010”
All-day alternative music festival with Gang Gang Dance, Clammbon, Toe and many others. Sep 26, time TBA, ¥6,000 (adv)/¥7,000 (door). Tokyo Odaiba Seaside Court. www.neutralnation.net
