Counterintuitive, articulately argued documentary on nuclear power

Nuclear power is uncool these days. But this counterintuitive, articulately argued doc posits that to be anti-nuclear is to be pro-coal and -oil in a warming world of rapidly growing energy demand. Dangerous? How many people are dying in China right now from coal pollution? Or in wars for oil fields? Which is the greater evil? The anti-nuclear movement may find all this—to borrow wording from Al Gore—inconveniently logical. Especially since the main interviewees are all former anti-nuke activists of note. Reasonable argument or sales pitch? I don’t know. But it opens up debate, and that’s never bad. (87 min)
