Vocalist of “no wave” psychedelic band Onna since the early ’80s, Keizo Miyanishi, is also an ero-gekiga (erotic and graphic novel) illustrator, and will be showing his new phallic contour-related drawings in a brief exhibition at Vanilla Gallery, Ginza. Formerly a mangaka’s apprentice, Miyanishi became one of the prominent figures of the new “Erotic Gekiga Renaissance” of the ’70s. Miyanashi’s previously published illustrations are hard to find, so take this chance to explore the genre through the work of one of its most influential artists.
