London track maker Perc slides into town bearing a new musical missive in the form of his debut long player, Wicker & Steel. The purveyor of blistering beats says the album combines his ardor for vintage British horror films like The Wicker Man with the “steel” of the Birmingham and Berlin techno scenes. Perc’s industrial-grade dance tracks have appeared on leading imprints like Kompakt, but on his own Perc Trax he’s known to champion Japanese artists. One of them, Go Hiyama, is to face off with Perc at the “Perc Trax vs Blank Records” showcase at Module.
