The searing temperatures don’t seem to have had much effect on the trend for chunky headphones, at least on the stylish streets of Shibuya. Well, if fashionistas could handle wooly hats a few summers ago, an oversized bit of headgear like this should be a breeze. Part of Sony’s summer range, the MDR-PQ2 comes in three different designs, all of which incorporate a dash of bright beach colors coupled with an abstract motif. We’re particularly digging the gray version with its arty paint splashes. If you’re willing to take them out with you on the streets, these headphones are pretty much guaranteed to increase your hotness, both literally and metaphorically.

Sony MDR-PQ2 headphones, ¥6,195. Available from major electrical stores.
