Brothers Tetsushi and Yosuke Hiroyama have been recontextualizing the sounds of their native Okinawa within the mechanistic confines of techno music for a decade now. It’s not for everybody, but for those who like things upbeat, tangy and kitschy in a high-tech, island sort of way, Ryukyudisko have perfected their craft. Following in the wake of a highly rated Fuji Rock set, the upcoming “Ten To Ten” party celebrates the remix follow-up to their latest album of the same name. The brothers are planning a special retrospective set, and will be accompanied at Womb by domestic heavyweights Dexpistols, Sugiurumn and Newdeal.
