Good-naturedly tongue-in-cheek green-screen flick

In this fourth, good-naturedly tongue-in-cheek Spy Kids green-screen flick, a megalomaniacal villain named the Timekeeper plots to steal all the time the world has left, since we apparently aren’t using it well enough. There are two new S-Kids (Rowan Blanchard and a delightful Mason Cook), since Juni and Carmen (cameos) are now adults. (Talk about time passing fast!) It’s not a great movie. Bit it’s silly without being stupid, utilizes some gleefully shoddy SFX, and avoids insulting parents’ intelligence. Downside: Jessica Alba and Joel McHale made me seriously miss Carla Gugino and Antonio Banderas.
