Faheem Rasheed Najm brings the pain (Tallahassee style) to Tokyo. The “hard & B” singer dubbed himself T-Pain to evoke the rough living he experienced growing up in the Florida city. Debuting in 2004 with “I’m Fucked Up,” a cover of Akon’s single “Locked Up,” T-Pain scored a number one album with his 2007 outing Epiphany. He is known for a style that mates R&B to hip-hop and for his innovative—to some excessive—use of Auto-Tune. In Tokyo he’ll be joined by veteran domestic gangsta rapper Zeebra.
