Three lifelong friends (J.J. Feild, Tom Burke & Adam Robertson) take a fourth, who’s dying of cancer (Benedict Cumberbatch), for a last visit to his favorite place, Barafundle Bay in Wales. Can you guess what his secret agenda is? It’s a grueling trek, both physically, what with the wheelchair/cart, and emotionally, as each member of the quartet reveals hidden truths about himself. If this sounds a bit depressing to you, you have no idea! Despite the fine acting and a few moments of forced camaraderie, this somewhat talky flick is a downer on a level that you really need to be a Brit to enjoy. (92 min)
