Those of you who still buy CDs might have noticed a lot of redeveloping going on over at Tower Records in Shibuya lately. The music store turned construction site will house a spankin’ new café with “溜り場 / たまりば / tamariba” as the main concept. Considering this means “meeting place” it might well be mounting an assault on the Tsutaya/Starbucks hegemony on the Shibuya scramble. Though they are going to lose on the view.
