For one of her latest dance performance pieces, the unpredictable and often controversial Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker takes on the challenge of choreographing to music by vastly different composers. Founding her Belgium-based company Rosas in 1983, De Keersmaeker fused minimalist rigor with expressionism in a way that was unknown at the time. Zeitung features pianist Alain Franco performing works that range from the charmingly baroque to the forbiddingly modern, to which nine dancers move in alternatively synchronized and dissonant fashion.
