Thanks to the generosity of the Daimler Foundation, four young German and Japanese artists had the chance to inhabit each other’s countries in 2009-10. The results of their overseas experiences are now on show at the tranquil Hara Museum in “Invisible Memories.” Artworks on display range from Meiro Koizumi’s cool, detached videos to Hiroe Saeki’s meticulously wrought organic forms, and from Eva Berendes’s colorful multimedia installations to Jan Scharrelmann’s abstract sculptures crafted from industrial materials.
