The excrescence we feared Bridesmaids would be but wasn’t, this ugly film shares with SATC the mistaken sentiment that girls acting as gross as boys is a form of empowerment. The beyond-bad, witless storyline has three self-absorbed, whining, boozing, coke-snorting, repugnant-in-every-way shrews (led by Kirsten Dunst, selling her soul) in NYC for the wedding of a classmate they used to call “Pigface” running around town all night trying to repair the bride’s dress they’ve ruined. Yes, it’s that unoriginal. Why would anyone pay to spend time with these women? Made me want to take a shower.
