Hoping to tempt drinkers already inundated with all sorts of happoshu-fueled, non-alcoholic, no-calorie, no-taste “beers” stacked up in conbini fridges these days, Asahi has just released a version of their flagship silver bullet, primed to assassinate the grisly werewolf of alcoholism. Dubbed Asahi Dry Zero (¥143), the beer’s alcohol level clocks in at a nice round 0.00%. It is also proclaimed to be “calorie off” (whatever that means). The marketing blag suggests you can enjoy it “without worrying about the next working day.” Looks like Super Dry, but does it taste like it? You be the judge.
