The last time Kieran Hebden aka Four Tet dazzled a Japanese audience was last December. So his returning solo to Japan was a must see. The London-born post-rock and electronic musician tends to produce abstract, multi-genre music. But apart from his live performance at Fuji Rock Festival, he took some time out to show his DJ side. At Eleven, Nishi-Azabu, we just had a few hours to experience that aspect of Four Tet. His breeze-like electro with brisk funk got the crowd moving. Light nods of heads became jolts, then convulsions from head to toe. The confluence of eclectic tunes and the movement of the people made us all wonder when he will turn the tables in this city once more.
