Take a breather and a sip of Japanese green tea at this special Grand Tea Ceremony! Experience sado (the way of tea, in Japanese) firsthand and join the locals in drinking green tea and enjoying traditional Japanese sweets.
First time attending a tea ceremony? Have no fear! There will be sado classes for beginners, children in and under elementary school, and foreigners.
The event will take place at the Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum on Oct. 7 and 8, and at the Hama-rikyu Gardens on Oct. 21 and 22. Tickets are needed per class, but entry is free. Take this opportunity to learn and experience Japanese philosophy, mannerism and state of mind through sado.
