Mariko Kitajima Solo Exhibition “Carpe Diem”

Mariko Kitajima, a painter known for her pop-inspired colors and breathtaking artistic skill, presents her largest solo exhibition to date, “Carpe Diem.” Through the medium of still life, she captures the countless moments of “now” that connect to the past.
Kitajima’s paintings–created as an everyday practice to affirm her existence–often feature her portrait subtly reflected in the back of clear glass vases or their slender legs.
The exhibition will showcase and offer for sale more than 20 new works, created over the course of approximately two years. To commemorate the exhibition, original merchandise and limited-edition silkscreen prints will also be available for purchase.
