Cocona Murayama Solo Exhibition “small, everyday wonders”
May 13, 2026 at 1:00pm ~ May 24, 2026 at 6:00pm
biscuit gallery is a contemporary commercial art gallery in Shinjuku. It will present “small, everyday wonders,” a solo exhibition by contemporary artist Cocona Murayama. The exhibition opens on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.
Murayama’s practice focuses on familiar forms from everyday life. She also explores the movements and trajectories that surround them. She works across sculpture, photography, and drawing. Her approach is grounded in established ideas of form and color from art history. She combines existing forms with geometric structures. This creates new perspectives on scenes we often overlook.
The exhibition theme, “small, everyday wonders,” highlights subtle moments in daily life. It looks at quiet amazement, mystery, and emotional resonance.
The exhibition features wooden sculptures and drawings from her creative process. These works capture delicate shifts within the everyday. Murayama presents fragments of the world she observes. These fragments may connect with the viewer’s own experiences. They invite new awareness and discovery.
From Wednesday May 13 until Sunday May 24, 2026
Open: 1pm-7pm (Exhibition closes at 6pm on closing day, May 24)
