Hamamatsu and Hatsune Miku: A “Magical Mirai 2026” Collaboration

Jul 01, 2026 at 10:00am ~ Sep 30, 2026 at 6:00pm

Hatsune Miku is teaming up with Hamamatsu for a citywide “Magical Mirai 2026” collaboration running through September 30. The initiative follows Magical Mirai’s first-ever appearance in the city, at Act City Hamamatsu, with tie-in displays and merchandise continuing across town through the end of September.

Miku and Friends Welcome Visitors to Town

Step off the train in Hamamatsu and Hatsune Miku is there to greet you, alongside fellow Vocaloid characters like Rin and Luka. Character panels have popped up at train stations, the castle, a hotel observation gallery, and the local science museum. A stroll through the city starts to feel like a scavenger hunt. All panels are free to view. Hamamatsu Castle is also waiving admission to its tenshumon (castle gate) for the duration of the collaboration.

A commemorative tourist map and collaboration poster are available at city hall and tourist information points around town. They help visitors chart a course between them.

Partners Across the City

The collaboration extends well beyond the panels. Miku and her friends have folded into daily life around town. Her voice rides along on Enshu Railway’s onboard announcements. Her likeness turns up in station decorations. Yamaha, headquartered in Hamamatsu, has joined in with its own exhibition through September 18. Enshu Railway is also running a digital stamp rally through September 30, with stations scattered from train platforms to the science museum and the local musical instrument museum. It all adds up to a city where a commute or a casual city walk might turn up an unexpected glimpse of Miku along the way.
