Alicja Kwade: “La Pêche miraculeuse”

Oct 29, 2026 at 11:00am ~ Dec 25, 2026 at 7:00pm

Pace Tokyo presents “La Pêche miraculeuse,” a solo exhibition by Alicja Kwade, from October 29 to December 25. The gallery sits in Garden Plaza A at Azabudai Hills, a few minutes’ walk from Kamiyacho Station.

The show pairs an installation of large and small sculptures, made for the space, with works on paper. Together, they focus on the overlooked gaps in and around everyday objects.

The title nods to Konrad Witz’s 1444 painting “The Miraculous Draught of Fishes.” It also plays on a double meaning, since the French word pêche means both “fishing” and “peach.”

Kwade’s “Tunnel-Tell” series features prominently. Part of it is first shown outside the Mori Art Museum during Roppongi Art Night on October 31 and November 1. Afterward, it moves to the gallery’s outdoor terrace.

Admission is free. An opening reception takes place on October 29 from 4 to 7 pm, with the artist expected to attend. The exhibition also overlaps with Art Week Tokyo, held November 4-8.
