Sanrio Exhibition: Hotel Floria Tokyo

Hello Kitty designed a hotel, and you can check in for the day, though nobody actually spends the night. The Sanrio exhibition, Hotel Floria Tokyo, turns the fourth floor of Tokyu Kabukicho Tower into an immersive room-by-room fantasy built from the dreams of Sanrio’s characters like Hello Kitty, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll and more. The concept comes from Sanrio and the Seoul digital design studio d’strict, whose media art installations have already drawn more than 10 million visitors worldwide. Check in anytime between July 15, 2026 and May 31, 2027.
The Experience
A pink lobby opens the route, and staff at reception hand over a hotel key card carrying a random character design. Hold onto it: you need the same card again at checkout, and again to unlock a free photo souvenir on the way out.
Each suite embodies the character behind it. Hello Kitty’s suite pairs a piano with roses, and My Melody’s turns into a pink, dreamlike tea party. Cinnamoroll’s bath stays soft in blue and white, while Kuromi’s room swings toward neon and vintage televisions.
The suites lead into five shared spaces, from a night garden picnic to a dancing ballroom. A pool and a rainy pond follow. Closing the sequence is a fan-favorite photo stop from the Seoul run, a pink beach with real sand.
At checkout, scan the barcode on the back of the key card and get a second photo card.
Exclusive merch includes hotel-branded stickers, charms styled after the room keys and travel-themed keepsakes.

No. You may leave early, but re-entry is not permitted—and the same applies once you pass into the shop, which you cannot exit back into the galleries.
Entry is timed, and latecomers may still be admitted depending on how busy the floor is, though you may have to wait. Crowding can also cause temporary entry limits. Arrive within your window if you can.
Photography is permitted throughout, though flash and tripods may be restricted. Posting for personal use is allowed, commercial use is not.
No. The shop is open only to visitors who have been through the exhibition, so a ticket is the price of entry to the merchandise as well.
Large luggage is not allowed inside, and the venue points visitors to nearby coin lockers. A coat check exists but space is limited. Worth knowing if you are stopping between a Shinjuku Station transfer and a hotel check-in.
Strollers cannot be used in the galleries and are held at the coat check instead. Preschool-age children need a guardian who is at least middle school age.
Yes, and staff can advise on the day. Visitors presenting a disability certificate pay half price, as does one accompanying caregiver, on presentation of the certificate at entry.
There are restrooms in the building, but not the venue itself. Since there is no re-entry, be sure to use them before heading into the exhibition.
Defective items or wrong items in the box can be exchanged within 14 days, with the receipt required. Contact the inquiry desk at info@hotel-floria.jp first—turning up at the venue without doing so may mean no exchange, depending on stock.
