Moonrise Asakusa: Traditional Art & Music

Jun 17, 2026 at 6:00pm ~ Jul 03, 2026 at 9:00pm

A two-part art and cultural experience in the heart of Asakusa, where Japanese spirituality, live music and gastronomy come together under one vision.

Act I: Music & Gastronomy takes place at Asakusa Shrine on June 17 and June 25 (6pm), still humming with the residual energy of Sanja Matsuri. Culinary master Jo Takasaki (“Okan of Takasaki”) curates an evening of Japanese food and sake paired with live music—a full five-senses affair in one of Tokyo’s most sacred settings.

Act II: The Grand Stage Performance moves to Asakusa Public Hall on July 3 (7pm) for an immersive blend of sound, traditional dance, prayer, and Japanese aesthetics — a moonlit journey into neo-traditional art.

June 17 (Wed): Asakusa Shrine
June 25 (Thu): Asakusa Shrine
July 3 (Fri): Asakusa Public Hall
