Tokyo’s Caribbean music scene comes alive again this September as SugarCane Productions Tokyo presents Reggae Jazz Live Vol. 3, the third edition of a live music night blending reggae rhythms, jazz harmonies, and soul. Held at Havana 1950 in Hiroo, the evening features vocalist Monique Marian backed by a full live band, two live sets, à la carte food and drinks, and an audience-judged Bob Marley song contest where six singers perform with the band on stage.
Following two well-received previous editions, this installment promises the same intimate, welcoming atmosphere Tokyo’s reggae and jazz fans have come to expect — part concert, part community gathering.
