Launched by Naoki Kamayachi of surf brand advertising firm Greenroom in 2005, the Greenroom Festival is now a well-established kickoff to the summer festival season. The ’10 edition moves to Yokohama’s historic Red Brick Warehouse for two days of groovy music and celebrations of all things surf, including plenty of film and art. While all over the, erm, board, this year’s lineup looks to be the strongest yet, with overseas headliners like quirky American songstress Rickie Lee Jones and Australian dub powerhouse Blue King Brown (above). Domestic talent ranges from the crazed jazz of Shibusashirazu Orchestra to the slick funk fusion of Thirdiq.
