Vegetarian Hawaiian fast food in Hiroo
“Vegetarian” isn’t what comes to mind when speaking of Hawaiian food, but Island Veggie in Hiroo changes that.
The venue, an homage to Waikiki diners, is a macrobiotic fast-food joint with a wide selection of vegan burgers (¥980-¥1,200), sandwiches (¥650-¥700), and a la carte breakfast favorites, including scrambled “eggs” and soy chicken nuggets. Also on hand are fresh smoothies, creamy shakes, and zesty açaí bowls.
Come in the daytime; food tends to run out towards night.
